I'm in Ireland!!

I am sorry for not posting this earlier but it is hard for me to find a computer and I can not use the data on my phone. I am currently in Ireland for the Holidays, so I am spending some much needed time with my family. I will be unable to post until New Years Eve so I am sorry but I shall not be posting until then. Hair Dye

Image
So I dye my hair all of the time, that means that I have tried almost every abnormal colored hair dye under the sun. My favorite by far though, is Splat. This stuff is great, its not tested on animals, super vibrant and they colors stay for longer than most brands. I have tried, blue envy, aqua rush, lust lavender and pink fetish and loved them all. So if you dye your hair crazy colors, this is the stuff for you.

Weekly favorites

Happy Monday! These are some of my favorite things for last week, I thought I'd share. Music If you like Flyleaf or Paramore, you would love Icon for Hire. The lyrics are amazing and I can not stop listening to their new album Scripted. Food I have been going through so many of these guys, I just can not stop. Television  Noel Fielding's luxury comedy. I love Noel Fielding, so his luxury comedy was sure to make its way into my favorite things. Makeup Almay one coat thickening mascara. It makes my eyes look so pretty, my lashes are super long and I love it so much. I wear it even when I wear no other makeup.

Super Smart Sundays

Image
I plan on posting one cultural item every Sunday. I am trying to post something everyday but Sunday is a real day of rest so only one post for me. Let's get this started then. "The Swing." by Jean-Honoré Fragonard A great example of Rocco Art, this is one of my favorite pieces. It is an oil painting and part of the Wallace Collection in London.

Happy weekend my lovelies!

Hangover cures for the common college student

Image
Disclaimer: I do not condone or recommend underage drinking, it is illegal and can lead to more problems then it is worth.  When in college you will deal with hangovers, whether they are your own or that of your friends, you begin to get tips on how to cure them, or make them easier.  Tip 1: Drink all of the water. Drink the water while you are drinking, drink it after, drink water before bed, drink it in the morning, water is your friend do not let it go.  Tip 2:  Eat something. Nothing harsh like Mac and Cheese or Ramen Noodles, but saltines just get something in there to soak up the alcohol. One of my friends suggests french fries, especially the morning after drinking.  Tip 3: Shower. You will be surprised how much better you will feel afterwards, you may not even need to follow the rest of the steps. Tip 4: If you have to puke, do it, it will sober you up a little and you may even be hangover free afterwards.   Tip 5:  Brush your teeth, for your sake as we

Final Exam Essentials

Image
Mid semester final exam's are upon us and though I do not have one until Tuesday, those around me are stressed and I must prepare for the up coming battle. Over the years I began to discover what calms me down and thought I would share the things that just calm me down when I feel that nothing could. Music: I am constantly listening to music, especially when I'm doing work or studying. I find that good music calms me down so much and helps me focus. Now if you can't listen to music while studying I understand, it's also helpful before the exam because you get your mind off the little things and focus on the big picture. I suggest a good CD like I don't know this:    I also put together a play list for you guys  warning its a little strange.  My Finals Play list Coffee:  Like every college student I have an addiction to Starbucks coffee and can not live without it at exam time. Nail Polish: There is something about painting your nails that t

Amazing Makeup:// Face

Image
Being a pale girl with very sensitive skin I have to be careful with the products I use on my face. I know others have the same problems as I, so I thought I would give you some tips.   Favorite face wash:  I bought this after I got a horrible sun burn and found my normal products just caused to much irritation. This stuff is amazing, it leaves my skin smooth, hydrated, clean and bright. It is amazing and a little goes a long way.  Favorite moisturizer:  Only stuff that makes my skin feel amazing. Keeps my skin hydrated and smooth, even in winter.  Favorite Foundation: Makes my skin look flawless and has SPF in it, yes please! Favorite BB Cream: I use this when I do not want to use foundation, so if I am doing something like running errands or have an eight am class. It works well, has SPF (a requirement for me all year round) and moisturizes.  Favorite Makeup Remover: This stuff gets everything, I trust it to keep my skin clean without causing any proble

About Me!

Image
Hello, so I am Sheena, I am a college student in  North Carolina and I have crazy colored hair. I listen to a lot of music, watch horror movies, obsess about Disney and spend all my money on makeup. I am an English major and I hope to write for a living. My friends and I are a little strange we dance in grocery stores, break ping-pong tables, buy way to many snacks and steal cookies from the dining hall by my dorm. Speaking of which we are apparently not allowed to bring in plastic containers so we can store dining hall food in our rooms. Good thing they do not know about the tub of Lucky Charms I have hidden in my room. Anyway I can not think of anything else to tell you, so you will just have to sit down and find out.

Frozen Review

Image
So the first post is suppose to say a lot about me, so it's only fitting that mine is going to be about Disney. The title of this blog, "Beauty and the Bra", was actually inspired by, you guessed it...DISNEY!  This will be a SPOILER FREE review of the movie "Frozen". The trailers: Okay, so the first trailer was of Olaf, the enchanted snowman and Sven the reindeer, playing around in a comical short. Though I found this commercial cute, I was confused, I did not know the idea of the movie and found had to do research before I went to see it. The second trailer I saw provided more information, but I was still lost and without Tumblr I probably would not have been as interested as I was. The film: I can sum up my experience in one word FANTASTIC. Myself and two of my friends went together (one of us was forced, obviously not me) and sat close to the front behind a family of surprisingly well behaved children. I left the movie with more appreciation for my fav
